WHICH NUMBERS CAN BE TRANSFERRED TO CHERRY ON TOP?
Cherry On Top can transfer numbers from the majority of SA providers. The following numbers can be ported, 021,031,011,041 and many other Geographical numbers. Why not contact us today to check if we can port your number!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PORT A NUMBER?
It roughly takes about 10 to 15 working days for a number to be ported, however it can take longer. This all depends on how quickly we receive all accurate documents required. In the interim, you will be provided with a temporary number to use, while your current number is being ported.
WHEN SHOULD I CANCEL MY OLD PHONE SERVICE?
Your current phone service line needs to be active for the number porting to take place, and if it is cancelled, you will lose your original number. When your number is transferred, your original service will automatically be cancelled
HOW MUCH DOES PORTING COST?
It costs R199,00 once off per phone number.
WHAT NUMBERS NOT POSSIBLE FOR PORTING?
At present, the regulation does not allow 087/086 numbers to be ported. It would also not be possible to port a number that is connected to a manual exchange as multiple users make use of the same access number. Note: Any active services such as ADSL, ISDN will be disconnected once the number has been ported over.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PORTING?
A signed letter addressed to you current service provider with the following details…
“Please port the listed numbers to Cherry On Top”. Then list the exact number/s you intend to port. If your number belongs to a company or business, please ensure you complete the above on a company letterhead. You may copy the content from the below link and paste on your company letterhead.

A copy of your I.D
3. A copy of your latest invoice to confirm numbers and account status.
4. A completed Geographic Number Porting Request Form
To Port your number, you will need to:
– Complete the Porting Forms
– Return the forms by fax (087 807 1129) or scan and email to support@cherryontopsa.co.za.
